Who Are You Blind To?

All But Blind
Walter de la Mare

All but blind
In his chambered hole
Gropes for worms
The four-clawed Mole.

All but blind
In the evening sky
The hooded Bat
Twirls softly by.

All but blind
In the burning day
The Barn-Owl blunders
On her way.

And blind as are
These three to me,
So blind to someone
I must be.

Ah…this one was lost on the boys. It was one of those days, and I sighed and said, “Oh, never mind.”

I prepped them by saying, “Listen for four things that are blind.”They got all four, and then I followed up by saying, “How can a person be blind?”.Cameron said, “By looking at the sun.”:-D
