New Robes

It’s an unwritten rule that every mother who sews and has a passel of children MUST make the children coordinate for at least one holiday in their young lives.

I obeyed the unwritten rule before my oldest child was old enough to begin protesting too loudly about matching his brothers and sister.

I will greatly rejoice in the Lord;
my soul shall exult in my God,
for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation;
he has covered me with the robe of righteousness,
as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress,
and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
Isaiah 61:10

  1. Wow, Kelly. This takes me back to my old 4-H days where my mom forced me to take a sewing class in which I was required to make an outfit and then model it. She made it and I wore it once…the day I had to model it. I have a LARGE amount of respect for people who possess the patience and skill to make clothes. Hats off to ya!
