Overheard

Scene:  Day before field trip.  Mom is rallying all the children to get them good and excited.

Mom:  So tomorrow, we have our field trip to the FIRESTATION!
(Boys agreeably cheer)
Maddie, louder than everyone: OOOOOHHHH!  I HATE THAT PLACE!

As if she goes there all the time.

She’s three.  Definitely three.

    Ha! that's totally something Natty would do. "What everyone else says, I'll say the opposite." And, she's too smart for reverse psychology…:)

    Hmm, we haven't tried reverse psychology on Maddie. Maybe I'll give it a shot. I suspect that she too will not be fooled.

    Sarah basically did that the one and only time we went to Tweetsie. All the way there, 'I don't want to go". she didn't really enjoy it either.
